On our last trip we skipped Keetmanshoop and the Quiver Tree Forest, so I was thrilled when everyone agreed to include it this time.

What makes it so special is the sheer number and size of these striking forked aloes, standing proudly among the massive dolerite boulders—it gives the place a magical, almost otherworldly feel. Photographing it was overwhelming—every direction revealed another majestic scene. I spent hours shooting, then went back at sunrise for even more magic. The full moon spoiled my astro attempts, but I had a blast trying!

The campsite was spacious and perfect for our overnight stop. And just before we packed up, we were treated to a wonderful sighting of the rosy-faced lovebird—a fitting send-off from this unforgettable place.

We stopped at "Giant's Playground" on our way for a quick look at the giant lego land of rocks...
