"Let the engines roar, the campfires glow, and the wild landscapes of Southern Africa leave their imprint on your soul."

This is not just a trip—it’s a journey through the heart of the continent.

Our 4x4 adventure kicks off on 23 August, leaving Johannesburg for a meet-up with our co-adventurers, Shane and Louianne, near Bloemfontein. It’s the start of a 47-daythree-country journey through some of Southern Africa’s most spectacular landscapes.

In the Cape, we’ll be treated to wildflower season, where semi-arid plains explode into colour. From Springbok, the heart of Namaqualand, we cross into Namibia at Vioolsdrif.

Namibia stuns from the start with the Fish River Canyon, quiver tree forests, and eerie ghost towns on the Atlantic coast. Then comes the magic of the Namib Desert—red dunes, Deadvlei’s skeletal trees, and sunrise at Dune 45. After the desert, we recharge in Swakopmund and Walvis Bay, before camping under the granite peaks of Spitzkoppe.

From there, it’s into Damaraland for desert elephants and ancient rock engravings at Twyfelfontein, then further into wild Kaokoland at Palmwag, home to rhino, lion, and elephant. Etosha National Park follows with vast salt pans and incredible wildlife.

Our Namibian finale takes us north to Rundu and Divundu in the Zambezi Region, where boat trips and game drives reveal hippos, elephants, and crocs.

Finally, we cross into Botswana, spending a few nights in Maun, gateway to the legendary Okavango Delta, before turning for home.

Enjoy our adventures and journey with us on our Grand Journey '25,

Hugs,
Mike & Ray
