Aus Wild Horses

We were lucky enough to spot the famous Wild Horses of Aus—feral desert horses roaming the Garub Plains near town. Thought to be descendants of German military and riding horses left behind after World War I, they’ve since adapted to the brutal desert environment. They looked strong, healthy, and free—it was incredible to watch them in their natural element.
