After months of planning, researching, and booking, it’s finally go-time! Our route covers over 7,000 km across flowers, canyons, deserts, wildlife, rivers, and towns — an epic adventure mapped out on Tracks4Africa.

Supplies have been tricky with Namibia’s strict border rules (no meat, fresh produce, flour, wood… the list goes on). Luckily, we can stock up once across, so we’re travelling light. Alcohol is limited to 2L per person — which clearly doesn’t suit Mike & I — so let’s just say we’ve been “creative” with packing. Worst case? Border party!!

On the glam side, the trailer got a full upgrade: re-wired electrics, top inverter to run the extra freezer for ice, ice-maker, microwave, and yes… a mini Nespresso machine. Because adventure doesn’t mean skipping good coffee.

Bags packed, wheels ready — the Grand Journey ’25 starts now!
