From Canyons to Desert to Oceans to Etosha! Paid our park fees at Galton Gate where we found the ablutions to be diabolical (such an embarrassment especially for an internationally renowned facility) and then 60km to Olifantsrus Camp Site – newly upgraded and fairly well kept - we soon found a good spot to set up Jurgie and then we were ready for the magic of the bush sunset – always a sight to behold and cherish. A long walkway led us to the most beautiful hide overlooking a water hole and an endless stretch of green and thick bush. The hide is a real gem and well worth staying at Olifanstrus to enjoy. From Olifantsrus we went straight to Halali on the Eastern side of the park near the pan. Lots of plains game plenty Oryx and Black Faced Impala as well as Springbok. Due to all the rain we saw no elephant or Rhino. Etosha has plenty Black and White Rhino so that was a bit sad. Overall we found Etosha underwhelming.
Bubbly & breakfast in the Bush.
