During our stay at Croc Valley, we decided to venture into the "town" of Mfuwe, and what an adventure it turned out to be! We strolled through the bustling market, where vendors were peddling all sorts of veggies, drinks, and an array of colourful fruits. The locals were incredibly friendly, striking up conversations with us as we explored. Intrigued by the local produce, we couldn't resist buying some Impwe, a type of vegetable we hadn't encountered before, which we later used in our stew that evening.

As we wandered through town, we couldn't help but notice the unique blend of barber shops and bars, each with its own creative and amusing name—a delightful custom in Zambia. Our wanderings led us to a young lady selling freshly homemade rolls, and naturally, we couldn't resist the temptation. We promptly purchased a batch for immediate consumption upon our return to camp.

I managed to purchase: a catapult from a local store. My grand plan? To scare away the monkeys that had been making camp life quite irritating, or rather chaotic. With my trusty new catapult in hand, I embarked on a mission to defend our campsite. I managed to score a couple of hits on those cheeky monkeys upon our return to the campsite. It was a victory for both entertainment and pest control. South Luangwa is a place we will revisit it is amazing.
